Jessie Bertram Gammell
(1872-1874)

Jessie was born at on 12 November 1872 at Outwood, Yorkshire, where her father was the vicar, but died of scarlet fever almost exactly two years later on 31 December 1874. Her rather unusual Christian names were undoubtedly given her as her father's sister, Martha Janet (who was known as Jessie) had married Julius Bertram and who was thus Jessie Bertram, had died in childbirth just four years before this Jessie was born.
